The Devil You Know
I have returned to Adobe Premiere.
Because I have been shooting with Black Magic Cameras I was attempting to switch all of my editing over to their editing software: Davinci Resolve.
It is an amazing program and I still will use it for color correction. However; I am already Filming with a skeleton crew, no budget. Learning a new editing program is just too time consuming.
I believe that we need to learn to adapt, to grow, and challenge ourselves. But my current challenge is creating a feature film. That is hard enough. Learning software is another task.
So, I've decided to stick with the devil I know for now. Change is good, but I want my focus to be on the film, not trying to locate different editing tools.
Seems obvious now, but that is my current realization. New cameras, new programs, and new tools are awesome; but they all have a learning curve; and I don't have the time right now.
